NEW Phishing for GMail
I have just read an article regarding a new hacking phishing scam that will steal your ID using GMail.
- You get an email from someone you know
- It has an attachment
- You click on the attachment and
- You are prompted to sign in to Google AGAIN.
- You are now infected.
It has fooled techie people and novices, so BEWARE if you receive an email from someone with an attachment. If they are infected, you would be next.
I highly recommend that you use Malwarebytes to protect your computer from all forms of Malware. The paid version guards your PC in real time. The free version requires that you scan your computer. This includes a 14-day free trial.
Do you have a MAC? You can get infected too. GMail is an online program, so it does not depend on your OS. Malwarebytes has a Mac version of Malwarebytes that is very powerful.
They also have a tool to guard “in the gap”. This product protects your PC before new databases are written to protect you. It works in anticipation of trouble.
Detects and removes malware in real-time with advanced anti-malware, anti-spyware, and anti-rootkit technology. Scans for the newest and most dangerous threats automatically, so you’re protected without having to even think about it.
Check your PC/MAC for Malware. Don’t infect your associates and friends; don’t lose your identity because you thought it would never happen to me.
